The Serio Waterfalls — Cascate del Serio — are among the most breathtaking natural spectacles in Lombardy, and an iconic attraction in Bergamo Alps. Nestled in the high Seriana Valley near Valbondione, this incredible cascade plunges for 315 meters, making it the highest waterfall in Italy and the second highest in Europe. Every year, a few select openings allow visitors to witness this magnificent show, when the artificial dam releases its waters, creating an unforgettable experience of power, beauty, and emotion.
The last opening of 2025 will mark the closing chapter of the season, a final chance to admire the roaring waters surrounded by the pristine landscape of the Orobie Alps — a must-see for nature lovers, photographers, and hikers alike.
