With the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics approaching, Bergamo has become an even more strategic gateway to the Alps. Thanks to newly expanded bus routes, traveling from Bergamo to major Olympic venues and top ski destinations is now easier, faster, and more convenient.
This winter, FlixBus has strengthened its network across Northern Italy and beyond, offering daily connections to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Dolomites, the Trentino region, the Aosta Valley, and even Austria and Germany—making Bergamo an ideal hub for anyone planning to attend the Games or enjoy a mountain getaway.
From Bergamo to Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games
Direct Daily Connections to Cortina d’Ampezzo (Olympic Venue)
Starting in December, travelers can rely on daily buses from Orio al Serio Airport to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the heart of many Olympic events.
- Departure: 15:20 from the airport bus area
- Operating: 7 days a week
- Stops along the way: San Vito di Cadore, Borca di Cadore, Tai di Cadore, Longarone
This service fills the gap of the missing direct train connection and allows visitors to reach Cortina comfortably straight after landing at Bergamo Airport.
Reach 40 Ski Resorts in Trentino with Weekend Services
Thanks to a collaboration with FlySki, a large number of ski resorts in Trentino are now reachable directly from Bergamo.
From December through April, every weekend offers connections to destinations such as:
- Madonna di Campiglio
- Pinzolo
- Folgarida
- Moena
- Canazei
- Cavalese
- Predazzo
- Marilleva
- San Martino di Castrozza
- Passo del Tonale
Frequent Buses to Trento and Bolzano
If your trip leads to Trentino-Alto Adige, you can now reach:
- Trento → 6 times per day from Orio al Serio (about 2.5 hours)
- Bolzano → 6 times per day from Orio al Serio (around 3 hours 15 min)
These services will also extend to Dalmine, providing even more options for travelers based outside Bergamo city.
New International Routes from Dalmine: Innsbruck & Munich
For the first time ever, Dalmine has direct international bus connections.
New routes include:
- Innsbruck
- Munich
These buses depart from the stop near the A4 motorway exit, making the lower Bergamo area a convenient cross-border travel option.
Three Times More Connections to the Aosta Valley
If your Olympic journey leads you toward the western Alps, new enhanced services make travel even easier. From December:
- Aosta → twice a day
- Courmayeur → new daily connection
- Chamonix (France) → two daily routes
All stops are central and close to cable cars or ski lifts:
Piazzale Monte Bianco in Courmayeur, the bus station in Chamonix near the Aiguille du Midi cable car, and the main station in Aosta next to the Pila gondola.

With its international airport, fast-growing transport connections, and strategic location between Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino, and the Alps, Bergamo is becoming a major arrival point for Winter Olympics visitors.
